Old School Marketing Tecniques are out For Me

When I joined my first network marketing company, by the way it is my only company, I was told to make a names list of at least 100 people. I was instructed to call each and every person on my list and ask them if they wanted to make some extra money. How much fun was that? If you just love rejection, then it may be a good plan for you.
I was initially faced with questions that I had no clue how to answer, people were avoiding my calls and deleting my emails and daily I faced rejection.
I will have to say it is a good way to get rid of all your family and friends that you would like to part with. After I was totally shunned from all the people I knew, my upline suggested that I buy leads from a professional lead company.
After spending several hundreds of dollars, I realized that those peopel were not looking for an extra income, they were just filling out surveys to try and win a free computer or k-mart gift card. They had no interest in a real home based business. Now, I had been rejected from people that I didn't know.
Now, I was out of money and out of friends (it took months to convince my family that I was safe to be around with out talking about my opportunity, even though I know it is a good one.)
I was ready to throw the towel in for good when I came across, totally by accident, the lifesaver for my business!
